# Set client field order

Different clients care about different things first. This page sets a **per-client ordering** of equipment attribute fields — the order controls how fields appear on equipment forms *and* in that client's reports.

## Reorder fields for a client

1. Select the **Client**, the **Equipment Type**, and optionally the **Subtype**, then load the fields.
2. The **Assigned Attributes** list appears — **drag attributes to change their order**.
3. Select **Save Order**.

From then on, forms and PDF reports for that client's equipment of that type follow your order.

## Reset to default

The **Reset** button clears the client-specific ordering for the current selection, returning it to the standard order. Use it when a client's customization has drifted or is no longer wanted.

!!! tip "Order before the first report"
Setting a client's field order pays off most right before their first deliverable — put the attributes *they* ask about at the top and the report reads like it was built for them.
