Setting your password¶
When someone on your team creates a NorthGrid account for you, you'll receive a welcome email with a secure link to set your own password. Nobody else ever sees or chooses your password.
Steps¶
- Open the welcome email from NorthGrid. Check your spam or junk folder if it isn't in your inbox.
- Select the password setup link in the email.
- Choose a strong password and confirm it.
- Sign in with your username (it's included in the welcome email) and your new password.
The link expires after 24 hours
The setup link only works for 24 hours after it's sent. If yours has expired — or the email never arrived — ask your NorthGrid administrator to resend it. They can do this in seconds, and the new link starts a fresh 24-hour window. (Resending also invalidates any older links, so always use the newest email.)
Trouble signing in?¶
- Link expired or already used — ask your administrator to resend it from Manage Users.
- No email at all — check spam first, then confirm with your administrator that the email address on your account is correct.
- Forgot your password later — use the Forgot password option on the sign-in page to email yourself a reset link.
